The Magic of the Tower

Over on Instagram lately, I've been doing a little series about what many people call the "scary" tarot cards.

You know the ones.

The cards people hope they don't pull. The ones that make beginners gasp when they show up in a reading. The cards you are tempted to put back so you can reshuffle!

Cards like Death. The Devil. The Tower.

But here's one of the things I love most about tarot: the cards that look the most intimidating are often the ones carrying the most profound medicine.

So today, let's talk about The Tower.

The Tower has a reputation.

If you've studied tarot for even a short time, you've probably heard the vibe. Sudden change. Chaos. Upheaval.

But the truth is, The Tower isn't here to ruin your life.

It's here to set you free.

When The Tower appears, lightning is striking something that was never fully aligned with your soul. A belief. A pattern. A relationship. A structure you built your life around that felt secure, but was actually resting on shaky ground.

Yes, Tower moments can feel sudden. Yes, they can feel intense.

But underneath the shock of the lightning bolt is something sacred.

Liberation.

The Tower is the universe stepping in and saying, "This structure can't hold the life you are meant to live."

So it clears the space.

It breaks illusions. It dismantles stories you inherited but never questioned. It releases you from cages that once felt like safety.

We often don't leave situations because they're uncomfortable. We leave when they become impossible to ignore.

That's Tower energy.

And here's the part people often forget.

The Tower is a divine intervention.

It's the moment your life refuses to stay small. It's the crack in the wall where truth finally enters. It's the wake-up call that says: you were meant for something far more authentic than this.

And in the tarot story, The Tower is never the end of the journey.

Right after The Tower comes The Star.

Hope. Healing. Renewal. A gentle light appears after the storm clears.

The Star reminds us that once the false structures fall away, the soul finally has room to breathe.

So if The Tower is showing up in your life right now… in a reading, in a situation, or in a moment of unexpected change… trust this!

Something more aligned is already making its way toward you.

Sometimes, the most magical thing the universe can do is remove what was never meant to hold you.

This is not destruction.

This is a cosmic course correction.

This is Everyday Magic.
